In 1965, the business expanded beyond the port of Rotterdam and extended beyond Netherlands to other countries. New business locations opened up in USA, South America and Africa.<\/p>\n<p>The 3rd generation of Woerkoms joined business in 1998 and 2000 and the business has continuously expanded operations and locations. An online store has now opened up in China and soon, the 4th generation of Van Woerkom will join in the building our heritage at ChristmasDay1642.<\/p>\n<p>1936 \u2013 Industri\u00eble Onderneming was founded in Rotterdam in July 1936<br \/>\n1940 \u2013 War, but remained active on certain level<br \/>\n1950 \u2013 Introduction of the brand Hetties (a cough drop)<br \/>\n1960 \u2013 Start of trading French wines<br \/>\n1965 \u2013 2nd generation joins the company<br \/>\n1980 \u2013 Opening office South America (Chili)<br \/>\n1984 \u2013 Name change to Rotterdamsche Producten Mij BV<br \/>\n1985 \u2013 Focus in new economies in Asia, mainly Japan and China.<br \/>\n1989 \u2013 Opening new office in Rotterdam<br \/>\n1990 \u2013 Opening Miami office<br \/>\n1993 \u2013 Purchase of the brand Plymouth Gin of Beefeater<br \/>\n1994 \u2013 Takeover Beautilink Duty Free Supply BV<br \/>\n1998 \u2013 3rd generation joins the company<br \/>\n2000 \u2013 partly sale of Plymouth Gin to Vin &amp; Spirit (owner of Absolut vodka and many more)<br \/>\n2006 \u2013 Participation in cigarette production in USA<br \/>\n2007 \u2013 Final sale of Plymouth Gin<br \/>\n2009 \u2013 Start of online sales in China<br \/>\n2011 \u2013 participation of Ruffians barbers and costmetics<br \/>\n2013 \u2013 name change of Beautilink DFS BV to FLEM Global Trading BV<br \/>\n2016 \u2013 Celebrating 80 years<\/p>\n<p>As you can see, our business does not only covers trading.
